Corey Goldberg

Overview

Corey B. Goldberg is an Attorney at Costa Ivone, LLC. With two decades of experience representing injured individuals, he focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation, with a particular emphasis on representing union members and their families. He is committed to making sure injured workers have someone in their corner who understands both the legal system and the real-life impact a workplace injury can have on their health, livelihood, and family.

His practice encompasses all aspects of Illinois Workers’ Compensation claims, from the initial stages of a case through medical treatment, hearings, trial, and resolution. A significant part of his work is devoted to representing union members, and he has developed strong relationships with unions and their members throughout his career. He understands that an injury can affect far more than a paycheck, particularly for someone whose livelihood depends on being physically able to perform his or her trade.

Corey takes a hands-on, personal approach to every case. He believes clients should be able to communicate directly with their attorney, understand what is happening in their case, and know that their concerns are being heard. Whether a case involves a relatively minor injury or one that permanently changes a client’s ability to work, every injured worker deserves the same level of attention, respect, and advocacy.

His approach to practicing law was shaped at an early age by watching his father, Michael B. Goldberg, build a law practice dedicated to representing people who had been injured or treated unfairly. Following in his father’s footsteps taught him that practicing law is more than a profession—it is an opportunity to help people when they need it most. That philosophy continues to guide his practice today.

He earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.

Outside of the office, Corey enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, their two daughters, Maya and Danni, and their dog, Ruby.
