• Case Background: The client initially hired a different attorney in April 2019, who, lacking experience in work injury cases, recommended a mere $5,000 settlement. Accepting that offer would have left the client without necessary medical care for ongoing pain.

In June 2023, we also hired an orthopedic expert who connected the client’s back injury to the described incident.
• Medical Victory: These efforts led to the approval of critical surgery, which the client successfully underwent in August 2023 to address a herniated disc. Following physical therapy and recovery, the client was pain-free by the end of the year.
• Settlement Outcome: On March 15, 2024, Partner Julio Costa finalized the case with a settlement of $182,500—36 times the original offer suggested by the previous attorney.
